New charges filed against Orange County man accused of trying to lure children

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — An Orange County man who was arrested earlier in the year and accused of trying to lure children is now facing several new child pornography charges.

Deputies originally arrested 29-year-old Jeremy Hagan in March after investigators said he tried to lure young children in east Orange County neighborhoods.

Also new in the case are recorded interviews with the alleged luring victims that were just released by prosecutors.

"He asked me, 'Oh, do you need a ride home? I can take you in my car and stuff. You can sit in the front seat and stuff,'" one victim told detectives. "I started saying, 'Help, help, help!' and that's when the guy started driving off."

Hagan, who had previously been convicted for exposing himself to adults and children, has been held at the Orange County Jail since his arrest in March.

"He had his window down and he was throwing kisses at her, trying to convince her to get in the car and stuff. But she was ignoring him and just kept waking as fast she can," the victim's mother told investigators during the interview.

After his arrest, detectives searched his home and said they seized several electronics. According to the newly released evidence, more than 300 images of child pornography were discovered in his possession, prompting the new charges.

Hagan was scheduled to go to trial for the original charges on Monday, but it has now been delayed.
