Ocala man accused of recording under woman's dress at Walmart

OCALA, Fla. - An Ocala man is behind bars after police said he was caught trying to get video up a woman's dress at a Walmart.

The man suspected of the crime, 33-year-old Francisco Avalos-Arroyo, didn't realize the victim's husband saw the whole thing, investigators said.

He confronted and then ran after the suspect, who got away but wasn't able to get far thanks to some undercover cops who were in the area when it all went down.

Police said the victim's husband saw what the suspect was doing with his phone at an Ocala Walmart and confronted him, and that's when investigators said the suspect took off.

The victim's husband chased Avalos-Arroyo to a nearby apartment complex, but eventually lost sight of him.

He was able to flag down a police officer and undercover cops spotted the suspect trying to hide.

Investigators said Avalos-Arroyo confessed to shooting video up the woman's dress and even gave them permission to check his phone.

Inside, investigators said they found 38 other videos of other women.

Neighbors said they're worried about the safety of the women and girls who live nearby.

"Yeah, because there are two 13-year-old girls who live two houses down," neighbor Shane Davis said.

Arroyo is being held on stalking and loitering charges.

He is being held with no bond due to a previous warrant, according to records.
