Offensive anti-Semitic, satanic graffiti discovered at Wedgefield park

WEDGEFIELD, Fla. — In what is normally a park filled with children on Mansfield Street in Wedgefield, parents were shocked Wednesday morning to find anti-Semitic and satanic graffiti plastered all over the park.

“It’s just surprising that it happened,” resident Cliff Kearns said. “We’re a pretty diverse community, so it is very sad that you would see things like that go on.”

Orange County officials said park employees worked to clean and cover up the graffiti Wednesday, which is part of a policy to remove defacement of public property within 24 hours.

Resident Bill Haynes said it looked like the work of children, but that didn’t excuse it.

“Is it kids doing this? It sure looks pretty juvenile to me,” he said. “Does that make it right? No. It’s not acceptable.”

This kind of vandalism is not indicative of the Wedgefield community and will not be tolerated, Haynes added.

“You don’t want anyone exposed to that kind of thing,” he said. “That’s just hatred and it’s not good for any society or community.”
