VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla - DeLand police officers responded to the Racetrac gas station on South Woodland Boulevard in Deland for reports of a shooting in the parking lot Saturday afternoon.
Officers said two groups of people got into an argument near the gas pumps. During the argument, a fist fight broke out between two of the individuals.
One of the individuals had a gun and shot the other in the abdomen, according to police.
The shooting victim was airlifted to Halifax and the shooter was being questioned by investigators.
Investigators did not have the number of shots fired and exactly how many people were involved in the initial argument.
