ORLANDO, Fla. — Orlando police have opened an investigation into the death of a 6-month-old infant found in the home where accused killer Markeith Loyd was captured.
Investigators said the suspicious incident happened Wednesday night at the home on 1157 Lescot Lane.
Officials said the 6-month-old was taken to Arnold Palmer Hospital with injuries. The infant later died at the hospital.
Police have not released any details about the infant’s cause of death.
Loyd was arrested at the abandoned home more than a week after he allegedly shot and killed Lt. Debra Clayton outside a Pine Hills-area Walmart.
