OPD, OCSO receive portraits of fallen Orlando police lieutenant, Orange County deputy

ORLANDO, Fla. — The Orlando Police Department and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office were presented Tuesday morning with paintings of slain Orlando police Lt. Debra Clayton and fallen Orange County Deputy First Class Norman Lewis.

Clayton was gunned down Jan. 9 outside an Orange County Walmart. The suspected gunman, Markeith Loyd, was arrested after a nine-day manhunt.

Lewis, a motorcycle deputy, was killed in a crash while he responded to the fatal shooting.

Sam Flax, a local art supply store, commissioned local artist Kevin Wood to paint the portraits.

“This is the least we could do for the families of our fallen heroes,” manager Samuel Flax said last month.

The portraits were presented to both agencies at the new OPD headquarters.
