Authorities search for suspect linked to three robberies

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Authorities said a man who carjacked a woman on Friday is now suspected of robbing two 7-Eleven stores and a Best Buy in Orange County.

Law enforcement officials said the crime spree started with a carjacking in the Pine Hills area around 6 p.m. Friday. A woman's 2008 Chevrolet Impala was taken by a black male suspect, deputies said.

According to investigators, the carjacking suspect is believed to have robbed the Best Buy on W. Colonial Drive in Ocoee later in the evening Friday.

"The plate on the car has a distinctive front plate that says 'Brooklyn' on it and that was used in the robbery over at the Best Buy," Sgt. Scott Chehutski with the Orange County Sheriff's Office said.

Authorities said the same man is suspected of robbing a 7-Eleven at Goldenrod Road and Curry Ford Road early Saturday morning. The suspect was reportedly still driving the carjacked Impala, deputies said.

On Sunday authorities said the man is believed to be linked to a third robbery. The 7-Eleven on LB McLeod Road was robbed around 5 a.m. Saturday and Orlando police said same suspect is responsible.

Surveillance images from the 7-Eleven robberies have been released by authorities. In both incidents, the armed suspect is wearing khaki shorts, a red and white Miami Heat hat and has a white T-shirt covering his face.

Anyone with information regarding these crimes is asked to contact the Orange County Sheriff's Office or Orlando police.
