Man arrested on child porn charges was Disney worker

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Florida Department of Law Enforcement agents said a man they arrested on child porn charges was downloading more images and videos minutes before his arrest on Wednesday.

Ruban Ferrer, who WFTV learned works at Disney World, was taken into custody at his brother’s home on Meadowvale Drive in Orlando.

Investigators said Ferrer was actually trading images that showed children between the ages of 4 and 12 with undercover agents.

Channel 9’s Tim Barber also learned Ferrer was living in a home with his brother’s four kids. Investigators are working with the Department of Children and Families to make sure they were not victims.

WFTV found Ferrer works at Disney World. According to his Facebook page, he works as a boat driver.

The FDLE said it knew Ferrer, 28, was downloading porn, because investigators have both laptops he used to download.  However, officials said, Ferrer was also trading videos.

FDLE agents said they were able to arrest Ferrer after he had begun trading images with an undercover agent online.

Barber was there as agents took Ferrer into custody Wednesday. When asked what he was doing with the child porn, Ferrer responded by saying, “Will you get out of my face, please?"

"He knows of other individuals who have been caught, fully aware of what happens when they get caught, and he continued to do it," said FDLE agent Jeff Duncan.

Agents spent the day in their forensic van combing through two laptops they confiscated, but it could take them days to figure out how many images Ferrer allegedly downloaded.

Disney World employees told WFTV Ferrer is on unpaid leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
