Ocoee City Commissioner election: Meet the candidates, find your polling place

OCOEE, Fla. — Ocoee residents can head to the polls on Tuesday to cast their ballots for two city commissioners.

Commissioners for district 2 and district 4 are both up for election. Polls are open until 7 p.m.

Voters can cast their ballots at two polling places in the city: District 2 at Ocoee Lakeshore Center, 125 North Lakeshore Drive; and District 4 at Jim Beech Recreation Center, 1820 A.D. Mims Road.

Knox Anderson is running against incumbent District 2 Commissioner Rosemary Wilsen.

Anderson is a former police officer, who according to his campaign website is running on a platform of prioritizing: quality of life, communication and conservation.

According to the city website, Wilsen has been employed by the Christian Service Center in Ocoee since 1993 and has previously served on the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, Spring Fling Committee and Ocoee Merit Board.

For district 4, Lori Hart, Joel Keller and Keith Richardson are running against incumbent Commissioner George Oliver III.

According to her campaign website, Hart has lived in Ocoee for 27 years and works as a teacher. Click here to read more about her on her campaign website.

Richardson, a U.S. Marine Corp veteran, has lived in Ocoee for nearly 20 years and now works as an associate pastor at Remnant Christian Center in Apopka. Click here to read more about his campaign. 

If necessary, a possible runoff election will be held April 13.
