Orlando baseball coach accused of recording son's teammate changing

ORLANDO, Fla. — A baseball coach is charged with video voyeurism after his son’s teammate told authorities he caught him recording video of him changing.

An Orlando police report filed in October accused Phillip Morris, 51, of directing the boy to change into his baseball uniform in his son’s room in his home.

The boy told authorities he noticed Morris’ cellphone leaning on the dresser.

When he checked the phone, he found the video and deleted it.

Morris denied the accusation when they questioned him, and agreed to take a polygraph which showed, “deception indicated.”

About six months before he found the video, he had told his mother he was at Morris’ house in the shower, when he saw Morris watching him in the shower.

The boy’s mother believes it was a misunderstanding, until her son found the video.

Morris was listed on the Lake Nona Baseball Association site as a coach.

The director said Morris left a few months ago, but was involved with the association for about two years.

He said Morris has been involved in baseball for years in different capacities.

Morris is facing a felony count of video voyeurism. His electronic devices were sent to forensics after the September incident.

A warrant was served for Morris’ arrest in November as authorities waited on forensic evidence. He was later arrested and bonded out of jail Tuesday.
