Orlando business owner fed up with scammers threatening to shut off his power

Orlando restaurant owner Evan Dimov works 15 hours a day, seven days a week to make his business a success, which is why numerous calls from scammers threatening to cut off his power have been a constant source of frustration.
The scammers have grown so brazen, that when they called Wednesday, they boasted about their scheme, Dimov said.
“He was bragging,(saying) 'Everybody falls for this. I make $15,000 a day,’” Dimov said.
He hasn’t fallen for the scam, and the power at his restaurant, Too Much Sauce, has never been disconnected, but Dimov said he just wants the calls to stop.
He tried outsmarting the scammers by getting a new phone number, but the calls kept coming, Dimov said.
“If you change the number, they will find you again,” he said.
Going to the authorities has proved to be just as frustrating, Dimov said.
He called the Florida Attorney General’s Office, the FBI and the Federal Trade Commission, but none of them offered any help, he said.
“I spent hours trying to reach all the federal agencies and talk to the right person, but it’s impossible,” Dimov said.
While he continues to try and find a way to make the fraudulent calls stop, Dimov answers his phone tentatively, hoping it’s a customer on the other end, and not a scammer.
