Orlando considers buying land for $1.2M to house new fire station

ORLANDO, Fla. — The city of Orlando might spend more than $1.2 million on a new plot of land for a new fire station.

Orlando Fire Station No. 2 is currently located at West Central Boulevard, but officials said it's nearly half a century old and not needed as much because of its close proximity to Fire Station No. 1.

City leaders are considering buying land about a mile away on West Robinson Street to replace Station No. 2.
