An Orlando photographer and former Universal Studios employee was arrested recently after investigators said he tried to convince an 8-year-old girl to make pornographic images with him.
Fausto Menichelli allegedly struck up a conversation via emails and text messages with an undercover detective, after responding to an online ad from a family looking for help getting the girl’s modeling career going.
According to text messages exchanged between Menichelli and the undercover detective, the man promised to make the girl and her parents “a lot of money.”
The catch was that the money wouldn’t come from modeling, but instead from child pornography, investigators said.
Menichelli allegedly went so far as to brag about another family he had worked with that he made enough money that they could live off it “for the rest of (their) lives.”
He was subsequently arrested at his home and charged with solicitation of a minor via computer.
Police continue the investigation into Menichelli to determine if there are any other victims.
