Orlando police officers give little boy birthday gifts

ORLANDO, Fla. — A Orlando boy got quite the surprise for his birthday, six days later.

The Orlando Police Department posted to its Facebook page a story about the little boy.

London ran up to the undercover officers with the Orlando Police Department last week to let them know it was his birthday and that he wanted to be a police officer when he grows up.

The officers were working undercover at a nearby apartment complex.

The officers went back to work and London also went on his way.

However, by Wednesday, London’s mother received a knock on the door and the officers were back with birthday presents for London.

The mother told OPD in a letter, “My son was so happy and I wouldn't have thought they would have done that. Orlando Police Department clearly houses compassionate people who actually care about people and will go out of their way to do something that could positively impact a life. He will remember this forever.”
