ORLANDO, Fla. - A Quality Inn was robbed at gunpoint near Kirkman Road and Vineland Road early Wednesday morning, authorities said.

Police said at about 4 a.m., an armed man wearing a bandanna and a hunting hat walked in the lobby.

Police said the man demanded money, and then ran away.

Later, at about 7 a.m., a man described very similarly to the previous robbery entered the Metropolitan Express hotel on International Drive, authorities said. The man was armed with a gun and demanded money.

The robber took off when he realized other people were in the lobby, and he didn't get away with anything.

"These 24-hour businesses, it appears, the people who are doing this are seeking times that the business wouldn't be occupied and wouldn't be busy so that they can do it quickly and get away quickly," said Sgt. Jim Young of the Orlando Police Department.

Police said they believe both robberies were committed by the same man.

The man left on foot and no vehicles or additional suspects were seen.

No one was injured in either of these robberies.
