Orlando truck driver pinned under big rig on icy Indiana road

Whiteland, Ind. — An Orlando truck driver is recovering in an Indiana hospital, after he got stuck under his tractor-trailer for hours in the snow and sub-zero temperatures.

Larry Rutledge said he was trying to fix his frozen brakes at a truck stop in Whiteland, Ind.

But when he did, the truck shifted, pinning his left side and arm.

"I wound up being frozen to the pavement in the snow as it got colder and colder, and I was yelling, but nobody could hear me," he described.

Rutledge was finally able to use the voice function on his phone to get in touch with his supervisor.

When workers found him, he had to be cut out of his clothes to be rescued.
