Orlando Waffle House robbed at gunpoint

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Deputies are searching for a man they said robbed an Orange County Waffle House at gunpoint.

Sunday night, deputies said the suspect pulled a gun on an employee at the South Orange Blossom Trail location, and got away with an undisclosed amount of money.

Officers said they believe he fled on foot.

"K-9 attempted to track, and they tracked quite a ways, but were not able to locate the suspect. The helicopter was brought in to look from the air. That also was unsuccessful in locating the suspect," said Lt. Rob Hardiman of the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

No one was injured during the robbery.

The same Waffle House that was hit by an armed robber a little more than a week ago, authorities said.

Deputies told WFTV in that incident, the robber burst into the restaurant with his face covered, and then ran off with some cash.
