Osceola Co. man arrested for allegedly distributing child porn

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — An Osceola County man was arrested Thursday for allegedly distributing child porn.

Prosecutors said Craig O'Connell was distributing child porn videos to more than 400 people.

"I tell you I would never expect that from them, it's incredible," said neighbor Glenda Cruz.

Neighbors on Honeywood Drive in Kissimmee woke up to see FBI agents and Osceola County deputies around O'Connell's home.

Agents pulled boxes of evidence from the home including what appeared to be part of a home computer.

O'Connell, 29, lives in the home with his mother and her boyfriend.

Neighbors said the arrest is a concern because children after often at the home.

Channel 9 learned O'Connell has three nieces around the same age of the victims depicted in the child porn the FBI said was on his computer.

"There's always been little kids living there or around there," said Cruz.

Prosecutors said the videos, depicting young girls being sexually abused by adult men, were sent out using peer-to-peer file sharing software.

According to investigators, his password to the videos was "jblover" which they said he told them stood for "jailbait lover."

"That's sick, that's sick … you don't 'do something like that especially with children," said Cruz.

Channel 9 found out O’Connell worked for a third-party vendor that does computer work for the Orlando Science Center.

He did not work in guest areas.

A judge will decide Friday if O’Connell will be allowed out of jail.
