Osceola detectives search for driver who asked teen to perform sex act

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — Osceola County sheriff's investigators are searching for a man who they said solicited a minor for a sexual act.

According to investigators, a 16-year-old girl said she was walking in the area of Carroll Street and Central Avenue on Friday morning with her younger brother when a man in a white two-door Honda pulled alongside them and rolled down his window.

According to investigators, the man looked at the two and drove away. The car then turned around and drove up to them. The driver asked the girl if she wanted a ride. When the girl said no the car drove away, but turned around and returned. The driver then asked the girl if she wanted to perform a sexual act.

"This guy pulled up in a white Honda and he just came out, and flashed her and was like, 'Hey, you can touch my stuff,'" said a cousin of the girl.

Investigators said the man had pulled his pants down as he sat in the car.

Investigators said the girl and her brother ran to a nearby charter school and reported the incident.

"She ran to a public area and notified an adult immediately, and that's what we would encourage children to do," said Twis Lizsasuain with the sheriff's department.

According to investigators, the driver drove eastbound on Carroll Street and turned north onto Orange Blossom Trail.

Tahina Concepcion, a friend of the girl, said she wouldn't tolerate that type of behavior.

"They better have those shackles ready for me because if a pervert come and touch mine -- my nieces, my nephew -- I'm going to jail," said Concepcion.

Investigators said the man is described as heavy-set, Hispanic, and wearing a black shirt and dark-colored baseball cap worn backward.

"You want to do that with big people - fine.  But not with little kids.  That's nasty.  That's disgusting.  That's pervert.  You a pervert.  You don't do that - not to little kids," Concepcion said.

Last fall  investigators searched a nearby area for a man who reportedly exposed himself to three young girls. Investigators said they don't believe the incidents are related.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Osceola County Sheriff's Office at 407-348-2222 or Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS (8477).
