Osceola County deputy charged with bribing woman in exchange for nude photos

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — Channel 9 has learned an Osceola County sheriff's deputy has been charged amid accusations that he solicited nude photos from a female in exchange for agreeing to help have her charges dropped in 2011.

Investigators with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement believe Deputy Marc John Jordanides, 33, used the influence of his position to solicit the nude photographs.

The incident allegedly happened in December 2011 but the victim didn't report the texts until late last year.

The FDLE began investigating in October, which is when Jordanite was suspended with pay.

According to documents, Jordanite admitted to flirting with the woman and said he considered the texts personal because the Sheriff's Office didn't pay his cellphone bill.

On Thursday, he resigned from his position before his arrest on charges of bribery of a public servant.

Jordanides was booked into the Osceola County Jail but posted $10,000 bond and was released hours later.  His case will be prosecuted by the Office of the State Attorney, Ninth Judicial Circuit.
