Oviedo student's good grades lands her new car

OVIEDO, Fla. — Hard work paid off for an Oviedo high school student whose good grades helped her win a brand new Honda Fit.

Seventeen-year-old Hagerty High School student Kristin Douglas turned her key to unlock the door to win a new Honda Fit from Holler Honda Saturday.

It was part of the “Fit for College” promotion.

The giveaway sponsored by Seminole County Public Schools, the Foundation for Orange County Public Schools and Holler Honda gave high schools students extra incentive this year to keep their grades a top priority. Students in either county could submit an entry form and copies of their report cards to Holler Honda throughout the year to enter the drawing.

Ten finalists also received iPad minis and $1,000 vouchers for a new Honda.
