Palm Bay Walmart reopens after evacuation over suspicious package


PALM BAY, Fla. - A Palm Bay Walmart was evacuated Thursday afternoon because of a suspicious package found outside the store, according to Palm Bay Fire Rescue.

Officials said a cardboard box wrapped in tape was left outside the front enterance of the Malabar Road store.

The Brevard County Sheriff's Office Bomb Squad responded to investigate the package, fire officials said.

Officials said the store and parking area in front of the store were evacuated.

Around 3 p.m. the all-clear was given and the store was reopened.
