Palm Coast man arrested in connection with rash of trailer thefts, deputies say

PALM COAST, Fla. — A Palm Coast man was arrested by deputies, who said he’s responsible for multiple trailer thefts in Flagler County.

Kelly Campanella, 26, was arrested Friday evening and is facing four grand theft charges, jail records show.

Campanella’s truck was seen on surveillance video entering a storage facility in Palm Coast and leaving with a trailer that was later reported stolen, deputies said.

Further investigation connected Campanella to seven stolen trailers the Sheriff’s Office recovered while serving a search warrant along Mahogany Boulevard in Bunnell Thursday.

According to a news release, detectives identified a suspect in the thefts who then cooperated and identified where the stolen trailers were being housed.

Deputies said five of the stolen trailers have been returned to their owners.

The remaining two will be returned as soon as the owners can be contacted, deputies said.

Campanella was released on $10,000 bail.
