Palm Coast man jailed, accused of sexually abusing children

PALM COAST, Fla. — A Palm Coast man is in jail after being arrested on several counts of sexual battery on a child, according to the Flagler County Sheriff's Office.

Thomas Underwood, 31, was arrested Thursday at his Bradmore Lane home, investigators said.

Flagler County Sheriff's detectives accused Underwood of molesting children starting 16 years ago.

According to investigators, one woman told them that when Underwood was 15 years old and she was 8 years old when he molested her while he was babysitting her.

Investigators said man told them that a man, now 22 years old, told them that when he was 10 he was sexually abused by Underwood. According to investigators, the man said that he was abused between 200 and 300 times by Underwood over several years. Investigators said the man told them Underwood was babysitting him when the abuse occurred.

Underwood is being held on a no-bond status at the Flagler County jail. He faces five counts of sexual battery on a child under 12 and three counts of lewd and lascivious acts on a child under 12.

Investigators believe there may be more victims.
