ATLANTA - An investigation is underway in Atlanta after a Delta plane that departed from Orlando International Airport lost part of its wing mid-flight.
One of the passengers snapped a photo of the damaged wing.
The plane was able to land safely and no one was injured.
Delta officials said the plane was still able to fly the way it should, but it remains a big concern.
A Delta representative said the company is working to figure out how an access panel on the wing came off during the flight.
The crew pulled off an emergency landing. The almost 200 people on board flight 2412 were OK.
That plane was then towed to a hangar once it landed, and that's where an inspection will take place on Monday.
