Officials: Man who fled from police, crashed car, charged

CASSELBERRY, Fla. — Casselberry police arrested a man they said fled from officers during a traffic stop.

They said Jason Realford, 25, sped off on southbound U.S. 17-92 as soon as the officer turned on his siren lights Thursday evening.

Realford allegedly traveled at a high rate of speed and wove in and out of traffic before he lost control and crashed.

Officers said his car flipped on its side into a parking lot near the Shoot Straight gun range on U.S 17-92 near State Road 436.

A Seminole County deputy saw the crash and detained the driver until Casselberry police arrived at the scene.

Three people in the car were taken to the hospital for minor injuries.

Police found marijuana, crack and what appeared to be liquid MDMA, otherwise known as the Molly drug, and a gun in the car.

Realford is facing several charges, including drug possession.
