Police: Man shot, killed while driving BMW in Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla.,None — The search for a 26-year-old man's killer continued on Monday after he was shot while driving his BMW near International Drive in Orlando, the heart of the Central Florida tourist district, police said.

"It's scary. I mean it happens, but you never expect to hear or see it, "said tourist Emma Grant.

Orlando police said Terry Guerrier was shot and killed by someone in a car, speeding down Universal Boulevard at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday.

The bullets hit the lobby of a nearby hotel, his car and Guerrier, who lost control and landed in a ditch across from Wet 'n Wild.

Guerrier was taken to Dr. Phillip's Hospital where he died.

The crime hit the members of Guerrier's church hard.

Philadelphia Haitian Baptist Church members said they spent the night praying.

"We're tired of this violence in our community," said neighbor Samuel Phillipe.

Neighbors said they believe there's a connection between Sunday morning's killing and a similar Christmas morning killing, where two church members and business partners of Guerrier, Loughery Dorceus and Wildet Olizia, were gunned down while selling tickets to an event outside of LAX nightclub.

Guerrier was leaving LAX nightclub early Sunday morning when he was shot.

Guerrier, Dorceus and Olizia ran a party promotions company called "Out Da Gate Entertainment."

"We've been neighbors 10 years. That really hurts," said Phillipe.

Guerrier's family said they want answers.

Police have not confirmed whether there was a connection between the December shooting and Sunday morning's killing.
