Police investigate shooting in Apopka

APOPKA, Fla. — Police in Apopka are investigating a shooting that left a man injured early Monday evening.

Emergency crews responded to the shooting at 8th Street and Lou Ann Drive around 5:30 p.m.

According to investigators, a 22-year-old shooting victim was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center in unknown condition. His identity hasn't been released by officials.

Police said the gunman was not located and they're actively searching for him. It's unclear what led up to the shooting.
