Police investigate suspicious package at Kissimmee Walmart

KISSIMMEE, Fla. — Police have concluded their investigation into a suspicious package at a Walmart in Kissimmee.

The package was found in the parking lot of the Walmart at 4444 Vine Street shortly before 5 p.m.

The Walmart was evacuated while police investigated.

Vine St. was shut down in both directions for several hours while the bomb squad inspected the package.

According to Kissimmee police, the package turned out to be someone's personal belongings left in an upside down shopping cart.

The area was deemed safe by the Orange County bomb squad, and Vine St. reopened around 9 p.m.
