Police: Man, 65, offered teen girl money for sex outside Winn-Dixie

COCOA BEACH, Fla. — A man was arrested after he allegedly offered a 16-year-old girl money for sex outside a Brevard County Winn-Dixie, authorities said Thursday.

Police said 65-year-old Carlenus Robinette tried to proposition the teen at the Canaveral Plaza in Cocoa Beach last week.

Police said Robinette tried to keep the girl from leaving after she refused his offer.

Authorities said she got away and called police.
