KISSIMMEE, Fla. - Police in Kissimmee are asking for the public's help to identify a man who they said exposed himself to a teenaged girl and touched her inappropriately while she waited at the bus stop.
Police released a composite sketch of the man on Tuesday. They said last Wednesday morning the man exposed himself to a 17-year-old girl in the area of West Vine Street in Kissimmee. The girl told police she paid no attention to the man and kept walking.
"I could actually imagine what the mom is going through and the family," said resident Carmen Rivera.
As the teenager approached her bus stop on Columbia Avenue, the man grabbed her and touched her inappropriately, police said. She ran away and so did the man, police said.
"I have the phone in my hand. If I see anything strange, 911 or the family," Rivera said.
The victim described him as an olive-skinned Hispanic man, approximately 5-foot-4, 135 to 145 pounds. The man has black hair and brown eyes and a slight Spanish accent, according to police. He was last seen wearing a white shirt and dark blue jeans. Police said the victim said he referred to himself as "Jade."
"It makes me worry about my own girl," said resident Mario Burtoni.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Kissimmee Police Department's Major Crimes Unit at 407-846-3333 or CRIMELINE at 800-423-TIPS (8477).
In less than three months, WFTV has reported on two other incidents in the area where a woman or girl was molested by a stranger: one on US- 192, six miles away, and another less than a mile away in the Orange Gardens subdivision.
WFTV asked police if these could all be connected, but they said they were not sure.
