Police: New video could be clue in finding gunman who killed 1, injured 6

ORLANDO, Fla. — A new clue could help Orlando police solve the murder of a father, but they need the public’s help.

Seven people were shot in a drive-by shooting on Columbia Street on Sept. 17.

Dwayne Stuart, 37, was killed, and police said he was an innocent bystander.

Police have surveillance video of the getaway car in a separate incident, where someone pulled a car into an empty lot and a passenger set a 2013 Hyundai Sonata on fire.

Police said it’s the same car used in the shooting and they’re looking for the driver who helped the arsonist get away.

The new surveillance video is from a lot on North John Street, about nine minutes away from the scene of the shooting.

Police said the Hyundai was reported stolen two weeks before the shooting.

Officers believe it was used in the shooting and that’s why it was burned.

Police hope someone will recognize the getaway car used in the arson, in hopes it will lead to an arrest in the shooting.

They think it was a Dodge Charger and investigators aren’t sure if that driver knew they were helping someone try and destroy evidence in a murder.

Five of the other victims have been released from the hospital. One is still in the hospital.
