Police: Pedestrian struck by car near downtown Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. — A female pedestrian was struck by a car early Monday near downtown, the Orlando Police Department said.

The crash was reported at about 1:30 a.m. on on East South Street west of South Bumby Avenue, Orlando police Lt. Thomas Woodhall said.

The injured person was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center in critical condition, Woodhall said.

Police didn't release her identity or her age.

The crash remains under investigation.
