ORLANDO, Fla. —

A 76-year-old man was arrested after being found with evidence of child pornography that dates back decades, according to Orlando police.

Fleetwood D. Peeples Jr. is being charged with promoting sex performance/child and possession of material depicting sexual performance/child, police said.

According to police, an officer responding to a call of a man down on Silver Star Road three weeks ago found Peeples injured from a fall. Peeples was transported to the hospital.

Police said that officers on the scene found evidence of child pornography.  They said their investigation over the past three weeks led them to make an arrest.

Police said Peeples had several images of young children ages 5 to 12. They said the images appear to be old and the victims would be 30 to 50 years old today.

Neighbors were shocked to find out about photos.

“I think that's absolutely disgusting.  That's horrible.  That's wrong on many levels,” said neighbor Erica Peck. “That's nothing people should be doing.  They should be leaving children alone really."

Peeples is the son of Fleet Peeples, who was a prominent Winter Park swimming instructor and after whom a popular Winter Park dog park is named.

Police ask if anyone has any information or has been a victim of Fleetwood D. Peeples Jr. to please contact the Orlando Police Department Special Victims Unit at 407-246-2963.
