Police release information on second victim's death days after Parramore shooting

ORLANDO, Fla. — Orlando police still have no suspects in a drive-by shooting 10 days ago in Parramore that left two people dead.

Tanya Skeen was killed and her family learned of her death on the same day, but police did not release that information until days after she had died.

Gino Nicolas, 24, and Skeen, 46, died after the April 16 shooting. Skeen died in the hospital four days after the shooting. Investigators never told the public that Skeen had died, or that that she was in her apartment when she was shot.

"(Skeen) was an organ donor and her body was released to the medical examiner's office sometime early Saturday," a police spokesperson told Channel 9. "There are many reasons why certain details may not be disclosed at the time of a crime."

Orlando Police Chief John Mina was not available for comment.
