ORLANDO, Fla. — Drivers who were caught in massive traffic delays on East Colonial Drive near the Mills 50 area last weekend, can expect the same experience this weekend.
East Colonial Drive at Shine Avenue is slated to close 7 p.m. Friday and reopen Monday at 6 a.m.
Many people last weekend were stuck in traffic for 15 to 20 minutes.
“What can we do? We cannot just say, ‘Don’t build it,’ or, ‘Don’t fix it,’” said Nhi Ha, who works at a business on East Colonial Drive.

Crews are slated to fix roughly two miles of East Colonial Drive between Orange Blossom Trail and Shine Avenue.
