Possible shark bite reported off Melbourne Beach

MELBOURNE BEACH, Fla. — Brevard County Fire officials said one person is being transported to a hospital after suffering what appears to be a shark bite.

The injury happened near Ponce de Leon Park Thursday morning.

Officials said the person was being transported by ground. They did not say how serious the bite was.
