Teen who pleaded guilty in crowbar attack has bond revoked

The bond for one of the teenagers who pleaded guilty to attacking a Satellite Beach teen with a crowbar was revoked on Monday.

Prosecutors said Jessica Umberger used a smartphone, which she is not allowed to have while under house arrest. Prosecutors said having a phone is a violation of her community control conditions.
Umberger posted a picture on Facebook for “National Siblings Day,” according to prosecutors.
Umberger's sister testified that she posted the photo using an iTouch without Umberger's knowledge.
"I'm sure that her sister feels awful. I think she innocently and inadvertently posted something," attorney Tamara Meister said.
Judge James Earp said an iTouch qualifies as a smartphone and having it was an intentional violation. He said Umberger was lucky to be out on bond for a serious crime and granted the state's motion to revoke bond.

She pleaded guilty to aggravated battery for her involvement in the attack on Daniel Vukovich, 17.
Umberger will await her July 8 sentencing behind bars.
