Report: Man pulled AK-47 on couple complaining about reckless driving

DELTONA, Fla. — A Volusia County couple trying to protect their neighborhood from reckless drivers found themselves staring down the barrel of an AK-47, investigators said Tuesday.

Deputies said Rodney Selvin pulled the weapon on Phillip and Sharon Wilson, who were in their car, when they confronted him about speeding in their Deltona neighborhood Sunday.

According to an incident report, Selvin pointed the AK-47 at the Wilsons and screamed obscenities.

The Wilsons drove off and called 911.

Deputies said they found Selvin, 21, at the home where the confrontation happened.

Selvin was arrested for assault and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
