Rolling roadblocks planned on I-4 from Kirkman Road to State Road 408 through Monday morning

ORLANDO, Fla. — Rolling roadblocks on eastbound Interstate 4 are planned from midnight to 6 a.m. for three consecutive nights starting Friday, the Florida Highway Department said.

The roadblocks will be put in place between Kirkman Road and State Road 408 as construction crews install girders over I-4 to widen the State Road 408 overpass.

The eastbound I-4 exit onto South Street will be closed from about 10 p.m. until 7 a.m. each night, along with the State Road 408 ramp, which will be closed from about midnight to 6 a.m.

Eastbound on ramps between Kirkman Road and State Road 408 will be closed periodically as the rolling roadblock moves along the roadway.

In all, nine on-ramps will be closed temporarily during the construction project.

The work is being done as part of the 21-mile I-4 Ultimate construction project.
