Sanford couple accused of beating, tying up child

SANFORD, Fla. — A Sanford couple arrested on aggravated child abuse charges is free on bail Friday.

Rakesh Persaud and Roseanna Prasnauth were arrested on Thursday after a Sanford police officer noticed the victim's face was swollen and marked.

The child told investigators the couple repeatedly tied her up and beat her.
