KISSIMMEE, Fla. - A middle school band director was caught having sexual relations with an underage former student at the Trafalgar Village subdivision in Kissimmee, Osceola County deputies said.

Dietrich Leonardo Vasquez, 34, was arrested when a call was received by deputies in reference to a suspicious car in the back of the neighborhood at about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Deputies said they found Vasquez and a 17-year-old boy, partially clothed, in the back seat of a vehicle. Vasquez told deputies he met the teen when he was his former music student at Horizon Middle School, where he is the band director.

Deputies said it wasn't until recently the two began communicating on Facebook. Vasquez said they agreed to meet earlier in the day. He picked up the teen at his home and purchased alcohol for the minor, prior to parking in the back of the community away from the homes so the two could engage in consensual sex, deputies said.

Vasquez was charged with unlawful sexual activity with certain minors, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and public indecent exposure, deputies said.

Vasquez was booked into the Osceola County Jail.
