Third person arrested in 2012 Altamonte Springs murder case

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. — Investigators said they caught a big break in a murder case.

Brent Roux, 36, was shot and killed in 2012 when three men burst into his Altamonte Springs home in October 2012.

Investigators said Keyon Brown was arrested Tuesday at his home on Winter Springs Circle on a first-degree murder charge in connection to the killing.

Brown, 22, was also charged with robbery with a firearm and conspiracy to commit robbery with a firearm.

“When I saw them draw their weapons, I knew it was serious,” said a nearby resident, who did not want to be names. “He went very willingly.”

Roux was a father of three, and his family said he kept to himself.

Darius Conyers and Robert Turner were arrested in 2013 in connection to the case as well.

Investigators said Brown was the getaway driver and detectives have been working to build a case against him.

“It means a lot to me to know they finally caught all three guys,” said Brent Roux’s mother, Kim Roux.

Brown is being held in jail without bond.
