Updated:OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. —
Osceola County Sheriff's deputies took a report of a suspicious incident on Monterey Road in Poinciana Thursday, the second of its kind in recent days.
A woman said she was walking her dog on Monterey Road about three weeks ago when a man driving a green sedan pulled up next to her. The man asked for directions and when she responded, he was exposed and began inappropriately touching himself, the woman said.
Investigators said the man then made a lewd comment before leaving the area.
The 25-year old victim described the man as Hispanic or Indian, in his mid to late 20s with short black hair and brown eyes. He was driving a late-model green Toyota with tinted windows and gold emblems. The vehicle also had a sunroof with a rain guard.
It's the second suspicious incident reported this week in that area, but based on the varying descriptions, detectives have no information linking the two cases.
Earlier this week, a 12-year-old told deputies she was repeatedly approached by a man driving a green sedan, and he eventually exposed himself to her while she was on her way to school.
"It's aggravating seeing that I have two young daughters myself and two boys," said Poinciana resident Nich Schmitt. "Being right here, it's real close to home. It's disturbing."
Detectives said the two incidents are similar but also different.
"The first victim described a white or light-skinned Hispanic male," said Twis Lizasuain of the Osceola County Sheriff's Office. "The second victim described a medium complexion, Hispanic, possibility Indian male."
Anyone with information is asked to call the Osceola County Sheriff's Office at 407-348-2222 or Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS (8477).
Calls made to Crimeline remain anonymous, and tips that lead to the felony arrest of suspects and/or the recovery of stolen property and drugs are eligible for cash rewards of up to $1,000.
