• Reward offered after man shot in Altamonte home invasion

WFTV has learned the family of a victim in a violent Seminole County home invasion is offering a $1,000 reward for any information leading to the shooters.

Authorities said two gunmen tried to rob a couple of men inside an Altamonte Springs home late Wednesday night.

Investigators said the gunmen entered the home on Pine Street near Anchor Road, demanded money and then shot one of the victims.

A woman called WFTV claiming to be the shooting victim's cousin. She said he is in critical condition at Orlando Regional Medical Center.

The other man in the house was not hurt, the woman said.

The cousin told WFTV the shooting victim is a kind and calm man, and she doesn’t understand why anyone would want to hurt him.

Detectives said they don’t have a good description of the gunmen or what kind of car they may have been driving.

The names of the victims were not released.
