Seminole School Board approves teacher pay increase

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — The Seminole County School Board adopted a recommendation by the superintendent to give teachers their first pay increase since 2009.

Teachers will receive an average pay increase of 2.71 percent for the 2012-2013 school year, according to a school system spokesperson.

The school system said the non-instructional units have agreed to an average pay increase of 2.7 percent for the next school year.
