PASADENA, Calif. - The final preparations are underway for the BCS National Championship game Monday night in Pasadena, California, where the Florida State Seminoles will face the Auburn Tigers.
WFTV was there Sunday as the coaches held their finals news conferences and posed with the trophy.
Jimbo Fisher shared the podium with Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn Sunday morning. The prize they're both after, the BCS Champoinship trophy, was on stage with the coaches.
"I want to do it for our kids and fans, and I want to have success for our fans -- that's the key, whether its SEC, Big Ten, whatever it may be," Fisher said.
The Seminoles are ranked No. 1 and are undefeated, but Malzahn's second-ranked Tigers have had major wins, bringing them to a 12-1 record.
WFTV's Greg Warmoth and Joe Kepner will be there for kickoff at 8:30 p.m. Monday. The game will air on ESPN.
