Violent serial robber caught on surveillance video

ORLANDO, Fla. — Orlando police released surveillance video Friday of a violent serial robber who attacked a Walgreens store employee.

The video shows the man wearing a gray and black jacket.

Orlando police said he and another man robbed the Walgreens on South Kirkman Road on Sept. 2.

The robber took an employee into the back office, and then pistol-whipped him.

The two struggled, and then the robbers ran out the front door.

Investigators said they believe the suspect in the gray jacket has robbed several stores in Orlando, Maitland and Altamonte Springs.

In each case, detectives said the man acts as though he is going to pay for an item, but instead, points a handgun and demands cash.

"Same description, same body stature," said Robert Pelton of the Altamonte Springs Police Department. "Our detectives have been working with Maitland. We are all looking for the same individual."

Three of the robberies in Orlando happened within an eight-day period, said officers.
