PALM BAY, Fla. - Detectives said they are investigating a shooting in Palm Bay where police found two men dead inside a home.
Police said the shooting happened just after 1 a.m. Wednesday at a home on Thuringer Street.
Police identified the victims as Sean Pino, 26, and Dylan Kane, 21.
According to investigators, Stephen Wright called 911 to report a shooting at his home.
"I feel bad for them. I believe somebody tried to do something bad to them and they were scared and protected themselves. They're not bad kids. They're not aggressive. You could tell the minute you talk to them these guys are alright," said neighbor Norvell Hill.
When police arrived they found Pino and Kane dead inside the house.
Police said that after Pino and Kane arrived at Wright's home late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning, there was a disturbance and shots were fired. Police said Wright, 23, fired the shots.
According to police, Wright told them that Pino and Kane forced their way into the home, armed with an unknown weapon, and became aggressive.
Police said Wright told them the shootings were an act of self-defense.
Investigators were collecting evidence at the scene and are continuing to investigate the shootings.
