ST. CLOUD, Fla. — A ‘For Sale’ sign in St. Cloud is causing controversy because it advertises that the land is zoned for a future adult entertainment business.
The owner said he’ll sell the land to anyone who wants to build along U.S. 192, no matter what they have planned.
“A lot of the folks around here probably wouldn’t go for it,” said resident Jack Giacin. “As far as a rural small town like St. Cloud, I think they’ll have a big problem trying to get it passed through the general population.”
A city spokeswoman emailed Eyewitness News and said a permit hasn’t been requested from the city for an adult entertainment establishment, but such a business could come to town if the owner followed strict codes.
“A lot of people aren’t going to like it, but there will be a lot of people who like it,” said resident Rick Vanderbunt.
The owner said he’s had the property for almost 40 years, and will sell it to anyone.
